No laptop is required to select the supplied maps or adjust the on-unit fuel trims. The ECU arrives preprogrammed for supported configurations. Contact TokyoMods before ordering if the engine, fuel or airflow setup falls outside those configurations.
Can it help with flameouts and engine heat?
The Vortex is designed to improve low-rpm fueling and flameout resistance. Correcting an overly lean mixture can also reduce combustion heat associated with lean operation, but an ECU cannot repair a mechanical, cooling-system or maintenance problem.
Is installation plug-and-play?
It is an application-specific replacement that connects to the standard harness and sensors without splicing. Follow the supplied instructions and verify the selected map before operation.
Is this ECU street legal?
