The Vortex X10 is a complete replacement ECU rather than a piggyback fuel tuner or an OEM ECU flash. It controls both fuel delivery and ignition timing and provides ten selectable maps for different terrain and engine configurations.
Does this Vortex ECU require dyno tuning?
The supplied maps provide a ready-to-use starting point for supported stock and common exhaust and intake configurations. Custom engine builds can benefit from application-specific dyno tuning; programming software and interface hardware are not included.
How can the rider change power delivery?
Select a power- or traction-oriented map, then use the low-, mid- and high-throttle fuel trims for additional adjustment. A compatible dual map switch can provide on-the-fly access to two selected maps when supported by the application.
